Developmental Studies Center's (DSC) professional development is vital to enhancing teachers' ability to help their students learn to read with comprehension. The workshops and follow-up support visits give teachers opportunities to reflect on and refine their own practice while providing tools and strategies to help their students better understand what they are reading. The experienced team of staff developers can support schools and districts in a variety of ways: support for teachers, coaches and district staff developers, and principals.
